Custom Portraits 

Paintings are hand painted by me with professional acrylics on gallery wrapped stretched canvases. Each is One of Kind, made specially for you!  Each one arrives ready to hang on a nail, with the painting continued onto the four sides.
 Prices listed are for one pet and before shipping cost. Shipping cost will depend on zip code.  Can meet for pick up if local Seattle area.  Please add $40 for a second pet. Email me for pets and people portrait prices.

What I will need:  A photo or two of your pet along with any preferences you might have for the background/setting.   The background can be just about anything, such as an outdoor scene, indoor scene, or flat colored.  If you have a specific scene in mind  (a favorite park or beach you take the pet to) I am happy to incorporate. If you have two or more pets and would like to combine into one painting from separate photos, I can do this as well.  

Payment: Before beginning a painting, I ask for a deposit of 50% of the cost.  The second half and shipping cost will be due upon completion of the portrait. I accept Paypal, Venmo, checks & cash for payments. 

The Process: Shortly after receiving your photo/s, and color/background preferences & payment, I will create a basic preliminary sketch of the layout for the portrait, which I will email to you for viewing. Upon approval of the sketch, the painting process will begin!

The normal turn-around time is 3-4 weeks, depending on the season. If you'd like the painting for a special day (birthday, etc.) let me know & I'll do my best to accommodate! When the painting is just about finished, I'll email you a digital photo for viewing & requesting any changes.  I don't charge additional fees for small changes.  My goal is to create a portrait you love and changes are a part of the process.

Once the painting is approved by you & you completely love it!, two coats of protective glossy varnish coating will be applied.  The varnish takes approximately 2-3 days to dry. The painting will then be ready to mail or if local (Seattle area), can arrange for pick up. A truly meaningful gift for a friend, family member or yourself.
